Itinerary

DAY1: Day Visit of Marrakech

Marrakech, a city that blends Berber traditions with Arab renaissance and western influences. We will start our journey with a visit to the magnificent Majorelle Botanical Gardens, inspired by French artists and fashion designer Yves St. Laurent. We will visit the Menara Garden, the 12th century Koutoubia Mosque, which rises above the city, 6th century Saadian Kings tomb, and the beautiful Bahia Palace. The visit to Marrakech will be completed after a stop at the Djemaa El Fna square, the home of spice vendors, storytellers, snake charmers, fire eaters, acrobats, musicians and more.

Overnight at Marrakech.

DAY 2: Marrakech- Casablanca-Rabat

After breakfast, we will drive to Casablanca. We will visit spectacular Hassan II mosque -7th biggest mosque in the world (inside not available Friday and after 2pm), Mohamed V Square, Cathedral-Church of the Sacred Heart Cathedral, and Rick’s coffee.  Then we travel to Rabat, Morocco's third oldest Imperial City and modern capital. We will visit the Hassan Tower, the Mohammed V Mausoleum and also the old medina.

Overnight at Rabat.

DAY 3: Rabat-Volubilis – Meknes - Fes

Morning, we will visit the impressive site of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the best-preserved Roman site in Morocco. Situated on the ledge of a long plateau, the dramatic site was once one of the Roman Empire's most remote outposts. We also see the sacred town of Moulay Idriss on the way (photo stop only).  Moulay Idriss is a dramatic sight with houses and mosques piled up around two rock outcrops. We continue to Meknes, Morocco's youngest Imperial City. We feature the Gate Bab El Mansour dating from 1752, complete with its Corinthian columns.

We drive to Fes and overnight at Fes.

DAY 4: Fes - Marrakech

Fes is the extraordinary medieval walled city. Once inside the gates of this great spectacle, you will see an entirely different view of life in Morocco. In contrast to the well-planned new city, the old city is a labyrinth of alleys and lanes lined with shops, mosques, homes and schools. In 1980 UNESCO designated the medina a World Heritage Site. At Fes, we will start with visit to the Royal Palace and Jewish Quarter, then theological schools and several mosques. Our guide will take us to the medina to view the market shops or souks. We will see the famous traditional tannery factory and shops of tailoring handicraft. Today's walk is an amazing look into the life of the Moroccan city dweller where little has changed over the centuries.

We will drive back to Marrakech.
